Thanks to its square shape, it is ideal for cuartirolo—a Lombardian variety traditionally molded into a square—and for Argentine cremoso (buttery or fresh), which is typically sold in block form. The perforated sides ensure uniform draining by gravity, without pressing: this protects the delicate curd and preserves the creamy texture, even shape, and freshness. Filling and unmolding are quick and clean.
